Ligonier Ministries seeks to be a supply line to the front lines of the Great Commission. With this outreach, we aim to support the church where the need is greatest and faithful Christian teaching is least available.

To place the Reformation Study Bible in the hands of a pastor is to provide a one-volume theological library for a lifetime of faithful ministry. By God’s grace, congregations of hundreds or even thousands can benefit from each pastor equipped with this precious resource.

For many church leaders around the world, a study Bible can cost up to a month’s salary. Yet a donation of only $25 is enough to equip a pastor with comprehensive Bible commentary anchored in the historic Christian faith. Larger gifts can multiply outreach to more pastors.

Why Study Bibles for the World?

In 2017, Dr. R.C. Sproul launched the final ministry campaign of his lifetime: Study Bibles for Africa. Ligonier partnered with the Rosemary Jensen Bible Foundation to send thousands of Reformation Study Bibles to pastors throughout Africa in need of trusted theological resources.

This initiative gained momentum as Christians rallied to equip the church in developing nations. Following the vision Dr. Sproul left for Ligonier to press on in greater service to God’s people, today this outreach has expanded to become Study Bibles for the World.
